The Dream You Told Me Yesterday captures the fleeting moment between sleeping and waking, when a dream still feels tangible and the impossible seems within reach. Inspired by lucid dreams—those rare moments when thoughts can shape the world around us—the painting explores imagination, determination, and the power of vision.
At the center of the composition, the sharp contrasts draw the viewer inward, while the surrounding edges soften and dissolve into an atmospheric haze. The painting feels suspended between reality and fantasy, as though the dream is simultaneously forming and fading away.
A sweeping ribbon-like brushstroke flows across the canvas before gathering into a textured knot created with modeling paste and gold sand. This movement introduces a sense of energy and purpose, transforming the composition into a visual journey.
